2024 Beauregard – Pomerol – Black cherries, plums, and licorice form the core of the wine. The medium-bodied palate is bright, sweet, and chewy. The Cabernet Franc influence is strong this year. You can sense it in the perfume, and on the palate, with its already expressive, spearmint, tobacco, and cocoa-edged finish. The wine blends 67% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon. There is freshness and lift to the energetic red pit fruits in the mid-palate, with a lot of concentration for the vintage, due to their low yields of only 16 hectoliters per hectare. 2024 La-FleurPetrus – Pomerol – On the floral side, with chocolate-coated black raspberries, espresso, and cherry aromatics that are all over the place. Soft, and refined, the fruits are sweet, and polished, with more of those chocolatey black raspberries in the vibrant finish. You can enjoy this with pleasure with only a few years in the cellar. 2024 Lafleur – Pomerol – Orange flowers, black cherries, and black raspberries, combined with red and purple flowers, along with chocolate mint, begin to define the nose. It is balanced between its vibrancy, purity, and ripe red pit fruits on the palate before leading to exotic citrus, with lingering notes of dark chocolate, plums, sea salt, and chalk in the finish. Unlike many vintages of Lafleur, this is a year that can be enjoyed with pleasure in its youth. That being said, it can also age and evolve for three decades as well. Olivier Berrouet Petrus “The key to the vintage was simple: pick ripe fruits. Harvesting was not easy due to botrytis, so sorting in the vineyards was imperative. If you did not remove unwanted fruits in the vineyard, it would be too late. From there, fine-tuning in the cellars allowed us to adapt to the needs of the vintage, such as shorter macerations and reduced aeration during the process vinifications.”
2024 Petrus – Pomerol – Chocolate and flowers initially grab your attention before you discover the plums, cherries, raspberries, and spice in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is texturally refined, fresh, soft, silky, and vibrant. The delicate finish gracefully delivers its core of cocoa-topped black raspberries, plums, chocolate, and bright cherries. The finish leans toward the bright, fresh, and energetic side, with a touch of mint on the backend. With their deep, blue clay, they harvested September 24 – October 1. 13.3 ABV%, 3.65 pH. 2024 Plince – Pomerol – Black raspberries,, flowers, and red plums, with a hint of cocoa, and orange rind dominate the character here in this early-drinking, medium-bodied, forward wine that will be at its best over the near term. 2024 Porte Chic – Pomerol – Red fruits, licorice, mocha, and spice come through easily in the nose, and on the fruity, bright chewy, peppery, medium-bodied palate. This is going to be easy to enjoy on release. Drink from 2027-2034. 88-90 Pts
2024 Rouget – Pomerol – Floral in nature, with plums, black cherries, licorice, and cocoa in the nose. Medium-bodied, fresh, supple, and vibrant, the fruits are ripe, clean, and soft, the elegant finish, wits chocolate, and cherry character lingers. The wine blends 85% Merlot, with 15% Cabernet Franc. 2024 Saint-Pierre-Pomerol – Pomerol – Flowers, black cherries, and licorice pop in the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, bright, fresh, and refined, with sweetness, lift, and touches of licorice, strawberries, cocoa, and dried herbs in the mid-palate, as well as in the finish. Edouard Moueix Chateau Trotanoy ”The success with 2024 Bordeaux for us was due to our willingness to take risks throughout the year to achieve as much ripeness as possible. In the vineyards, we needed nerves of steel, and we were extremely selective this year. In fact, we entirely declassified two vineyards. We did not produce any Chateau Hosanna or Chateau La Grave Pomerol.”
2024 Trotanoy – Pomerol – A fresh, vibrant, chalky wine with notes of cocoa, black cherries, licorice, espresso, and truffles. The palate is vibrant, chalky, and fresh, showcasing a masculine character that will require some aging for the wine to begin to truly reveal its full potential. The wine is produced from 99.5% Merlot, with .05 Cabernet Franc. The harvest took place September 17 – September 28. Drink from 2029-2048. 94-96 Pts

Guillaume Thienpont Vieux Chateau Certan “Being adaptive to the challenging vintage demanded quick attention on a continuous basis. From there, a willingness to take risks in the vineyards included picking as late as possible to achieve ripeness. Lastly, our ability to change the blend was crucial. In 2024, close to 30% of the blend came from Cabernet, which helped us create the ideal palate and an expressive aromatic profile.”
2024 Vieux Chateau Certan – Pomerol – Lilacs, violets, cocoa, spearmint, truffle, black cherries, plums, and saffron create a complex set of aromatics. Fresh and fragrant on the palate, the wine is earthy, vibrant, elegant, and silky. The Cabernets make a strong impression, contributing to the mid-palate and a refreshing finish that combines mint, spices, lifted red fruits, silkiness, length, energy, and refinement. The wine blends 71% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% ABV, 3.7 pH. The harvest took place September 20 – October 2. Drink from 2029-2047. 95-97 Pts
2024 Vray Croix de Gay – Pomerol – Flowers, mint, spearmint, cocoa, espresso, and plums form the perfume. Medium-bodied, fresh, crisp, and juicy, the wine ends with a plummy, chocolatey finish.
