All of the following 2024 Cotes de Bordeaux, 2024 Fronsac, and 2024 St. Emilion Satellite appellation wines were tasted in barrel in April in Bordeaux under non-blind conditions at either the chateau, various trade groups, organizations, negociants, or with consultants. When possible, wines were tasted multiple times. 2024 Alcee – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Licorice, flowers, espresso, blackberries, cherries, and fresh, red plums are easy to spot in the nose, and on the crisp, juicy, bright palate. The crunchy berries in the finish are fresh and invigorating. The wine was produced from 93% Merlot, with 7% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2037. 89-91 Pts

2024 Bernon Bécot – Puisseguin-St. Émilion – Red fruits, with herbs, and olives come through easily in the nose, and on the palate. You can enjoy this lighter-styled wine on release and over the next few years. Drink from 2027-2032. 87-89 Pts

2024 Cap St. George – St. Georges-St. Émilion – Black cherries, with mint, and licorice for the character here. Medium-bodied, fruity, and lifted, with blackberries and black cherries all over the palate, and in the round finish. The wine blends 90% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is perfect for early drinking pleasure, yet it can be aged for a few years to add more complexity as well. Drink from 2027-2035. 89-91 Pts

2024 Cap d’Or – St. Georges-St. Émilion – Herbs, licorice, and cherries create the center here. The wine is medium-bodied, bright, crisp, and quite vibrant on the palate, as well as in the finish, along with a dash of mint, and cherries on the backend. This will be at its best over the near term. The wine blends 77% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2027-2032. 89-91 Pts

2024 Cap de Faugeres – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Black cherries, licorice, and cocoa create the character here. Medium-bodied, fruity, round, and supple, the wine is juicy and fresh, leaving you with chocolate-covered cherries on the mid-palate and in the chalky finish. This will be delicious upon release. The wine was blended with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2036. 89-91 Pts

2024 Château Canon Pecresse – Canon-Fronsac – Bright, fresh, floral, and vibrant, the strawberries, cherries, and plums are already expressive in the nose, and on the mineral-edged palate. You can enjoy this on release and for up to a decade after release. Drink from 2027-2039. 89-91 Pts

2024 Clarisse Cuvée Allegria – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Fruity, forward, easy-to-like, and easy-to-drink, with a medium-bodied core of soft, supple-textured, red fruits with sweetness and lift. 2024 Clarisse Vieille Vignes – Puisseguin-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, supple, and soft, the fruits are vibrant, fresh, soft, and sweet. The wine blends 50% Cabernet Franc with 50% Merlot. Drink from 2027-2037. 89-91 Pts

2024 Clos Louie – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Medium-bodied, forward, soft, and fresh, the wine is on the light, bright, and juicy side of the cherry range. Drink from 2027-2032. 86-88 Pts

2024 Clos Lunelles – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Flowers, black plums, flowers, dark chocolate, licorice, and chocolate-coated cherries fill the aromatic profile. Lush, rich, ripe, round, powerful, long, and supple, the finish continues that theme so you find more of those plums, cherries, and chocolate, with just a hint of mint on the backend. The wine was made from blending 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc, 14.42% ABV, 3.63 pH. Drink from 2028-2040. 92-94 Pts

2024 Clos Puy Arnaud – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – The garrigue and floral notes in the nose, paired with the bright, chewy, fresh cherries and strawberries on the palate, produce a medium-bodied, crisp, vibrant red berry-filled wine. 2024 Courlat Cuvée Jean Baptiste – Lussac-St. Émilion – The flowers, and cherries in the perfume get the wine going. Medium-bodied, round, and refined, there is freshness and aromatics on the palate and in the finish. The Cuvee is always produced from 100% Merlot. Drink from 2027-2038. 89-91 Pts

2024 DAiguilhe – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Medium-bodied, round, forward, and fruity, the wine is charming, early-drinking, and most importantly, you can taste and feel the influence of its minerality, with its chalky notes, and touch of salt that accompanies the bright, sweet, vibrant, red pit fruits, along with a hint of cocoa that you find at the end of the finish. The wine is made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. 13% ABV. Drink from 2027-2038. 91-93 Pts

2024 Dalem – Fronsac – Flowers, black cherries, licorice, and black raspberries, with a hint of spearmint in the nose create the scene. Medium-bodied, round, fruity, fresh, clean, and pure, the sweetness in the cherries, and plums in the finish are elegant, and fresh. With this much charm, you can enjoy it on release. 2024 Haut Carles – Fronsac – Flowers, black raspberries, cherries, mint, espresso, and chocolate create the forward, fruity, medium-bodied wine that is going to offer delicious, easy-drinking pleasure just about on release. The palate is fresh and fruity, with loads of charm, leaving you with strawberries, and cherries in the mid-palate and in the finish. The wine is a blend of 85% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc. 2024 LAmour – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Peppery mint leaves, ocean breezes, and currants form the core of this wine. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, chewy, and bright, with dried garrigue, mint, and salty accents that add complexities to the currants, and strawberries in the firm finish. 2024 LAurage – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Strawberries dipped in chocolate is what you initially notice before moving to the fresh, vibrant, red pit fruit palate. Medium-bodied, lively, and forward, the mid-palate, and finish carries on with its theme of red fruits, made better with the wines refreshing hint of mint in the finish, long with a chalky end note. 2024 La Dauphine – Fronsac – With a floral bouquet setting off the perfume, the wine is on the finesse side, focusing on its elegant character that allows its vivid display of black raspberries, plums, licorice, chocolate, and crushed stones to shine. 2024 Monbadon Indie de Monbadon – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – Chalky cherries, and licorice form the core of this medium-bodied, fresh, early-drinking, fruity, juicy charmer which will deliver its bright, red berries, with ease on release. The wine blends 67% Cabernet Franc and 33% Merlot. The wine is aged in a combination of 500 liter barrels, vats and amphora. Drink from 2027-2031. 88-89 Pts

2024 Montlandrie – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux – With a focus on its floral character in the aromatic profile, the wine is medium-bodied, elegant, and fresh. It is effortless to drink, due to its sweetness, energy, and charm. Give it a year or two in the cellar, and enjoy it for 10-12 years.
