2021 Maravilhas Espirito – Garrigue, olives, forest leaf, mint, and cherries open the wine. Medium-bodied, fresh, and peppery, with a solid core of vibrant-kirsch, and chewy, crisp, black raspberries, with hints of green olives, the wine is shaped by its assemblage as it is produced from 100% Syrah, which is not common in Chateauneuf. 2021 Maravilhas Santo – Olives, herbs, garrigue, flowers, and peppery kirsch create the core of this medium-bodied, bright, peppery, kirsch filled wine that will be perfect to enjoy on release. The wine is produced from blending Grenache with Syrah,. Drink from 2024-2029. 89 Pts

2021 Marcoux Chateauneuf du Pape – Olives, garrigue, thyme, pepper, and red fruits are all over the place here. Medium-bodied, soft, fresh, and supple, with a sweetness to the red fruits on the palate, and in the finish, this will be a pleasure to enjoy on release. Drink from 2024-2031. 92 Pts

2021 Marcoux Vieilles Vignes – Black cherries, black raspberries, and a striking floral note the nose. But with this wine, it is the silky, sensuous, supple-textured palate that steals the show. The fruit-filled, polished finish, with its wealth of ripe, red fruits makes this one of the wines of the vintage. The wine is made from 100% old vine Grenache. Drink from 2024-2035. 95 Pts

2021 Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Peppery black raspberries, plums, smoke, and spicy herbs are on the nose. On the palate, the wine is dark, polished, luscious, and fruity with softness, lift, and roundness, leaving you with peppery, red berries on the palate, and in the finish. 2021 Maucoil Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Cherries, herbs, flowers, and thyme on the nose, the wine is medium-bodied, fresh, elegant, and fruity with a strawberry edge to the soft-textured, finish. Drink from 2024-2029. 90 Pts

2021 Maucoil Privilege – Earthy red berries, flowers, smoke, and licorice show in the nose. On the palate, the wine is forward, fresh, and fruity with a supple, sweet, kirsch oriented finish. 2021 Mont Redon – The nose opens with olives, garrigue, flowers and red fruits. Medium-bodied, forward, chewy, and with an herbal edge to the peppery fruit on the palate and in the finish. 2021 Mont Redon Le Plateau Blanc – Yellow gold in color, the wine instantly focuses you on its floral character made even better by its nuances of orange liqueur, cut grass, banana, and Meyer lemon rind. The concentrated palate is cut, sharp and mineral driven, with freshness, lift, definition and layers of sweet, ripe, pure, white and yellow fruits. The wine is produced from a blend of about 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Clairette. Drink from 2024-2032. 94 Pts

2021 Mont Thabor – Flowers, spice, and cherries create the nose, and the character of this medium-bodied, fresh, soft, vibrant charmer. There is a touch of chalk in the strawberry-filled finish. 2021 Moulin Tacussel Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Flowers, strawberry, and kirsch greet your nose. The palate is medium-bodied, with a core of cherries, kirsch and strawberries, complicated by nuances of herb ad white pepper. Soft, forward, fresh and fruity, elegant and refined in style, the wine is about its sweetness and purity, and not concentration The wine was produced from mostly Grenache blended with various, assorted, AOC allowed varietals. 2021 Mordoree Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee de la Reine des Bois – Flowers, black cherries, black pepper, herbs, spices and sweet plums create the perfume. The wine is round, almost creamy, and with ample, peppery, red fruits on the palate. Drink from 2024-2036. 93 Pts

2021 Mordoree La Dame Voyageuse – Peppery herbs, flowers and kirsch define the core of this medium-bodied, forward, soft, supple, early-drinking charmer, finishing with sweet red fruits and spice. 2021 Mourre-du-Tendre Tres Vieilles Vignes – Fresh strawberries, kirsch, herbs, flowers, and licorice open the perfume. On the palate, the wine is fresh, soft, silky, fruity, and vibrant. 2021 Olivier Hillaire Les Petits Pieds d’Armand – The display of roses, and cherries in the nose gets your attention. On the palate, the wine is silky, refined, elegant, and supple. 2021 Olivier Hillaire Les Terrasses – Quite floral in nature, you also find kirsch, cherries, and strawberries all over the place. Medium-bodied, soft, elegant, and refined, the wine is effortless to drink as it focuses on its purity. You will be able to enjoy its charms on release. 2021 Olivier Ravoire Caparacon – Flowers, black raspberries, and olives come to the perfume easily. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, soft, fruity, and forward, with an accessible, peppery, kirsch presence on the palate, and in the finish. 2021 Panisse Le Mas – Flowers, herbs and peppery spices, along with ripe kirsch notes and licorice shine in the nose. 2021 Pierre Henri Morel – Flowers, garrigue, and cherry notes get the wine going. On the palate, the wine is soft, elegant, and polished, with a silkiness, and elegance on the palate that matches the purity in the fruit along with the olives, and herbs in the finish. 2021 Raymond Usseglio Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Garrigue, pepper, flowers. and spicy red fruits start the wine off. Things get even better with all of the soft, elegant, sweet, spicy, red and dark red, peppery berries on the palate and in the soft, lush, finish. Drink from 2024-2032. 93 Pts

2021 Raymond Usseglio Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Girard – Medium-bodied, elegant, soft, forward, fresh, and fruity, with a refined, soft, sweet, pure edge to its kirsch and strawberry core of fruits. This should be delicious to enjoy on release. Drink from 2024-2030. 92 Pts

2021 Raymond Usseglio Cuvee Imperiale – Spicy, peppery, black raspberries, flowers, smoky herbs, and kirsch notes are all over the aromatics. The palate is even better with its layers of sweet, ripe, dark red fruits, spices, herbs, elegant, supple-textures, and freshness. The finish delivers lift, and energy to the peppery, red fruits. The wine is produced from 100% old vine Grenache from vines up to 120 years of age. Drink from 2024-2037. 94 Pts

2021 Raymond Usseglio La Part des Anges – One of the darker wines of the vintage, its blend of 70% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache and 10% Syrah works well this year. Smoke, flowers, spice, meat, espresso, incense, and dark red fruits in the nose get even better on the palate. The wine is lush, with a nice depth of flavor, richness, elegance, length, freshness, and minerality in the finish. Drink from 2025 – 2037. 94 Pts

2021 Reveirolles Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Garrigue, cherries, olives, and leafy herbs open the nose. The palate is fresh, juicy, medium-bodied, forward, and fruity with a nice core of fresh, sweet, lively, peppery red berries with a spicy edge. 2021 Roger Perrin Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Incense, flowers and red fruits fill the nose and palate. The medium-bodied wine offers ripe cherries, spice, and kirsch with a dose of oak that needs to better integrate on the mid-palate and in the finish. 2021 Roger Perrin Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve des Vieilles Vignes – There is a strong oaky note in the nose before you get to the flowers, red fruits, smoke, incense, and herbs. Lush, creamy ,and fruity with a nice sweetness ,and purity, as well as lift to tit core of kirsch, the wine needs a bit of time for the oak to better integrate. The wine is made from 90% Grenache, 5% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre. Drink from 2025-2032. 91 Pts

2021 Roger Perrin de la Berthaude – Leafy herbs, and cherries show in the nose and in the medium-bodied, round, fruit-filled, creamy, soft, palate. 2021 Roger Sabon Cuvee Prestige – Garrigue, peppery spices, herbs, flowers, and black raspberries open the nose. The palate, with its core of sweet, cherries, and herbs is soft, round and lush, with ample sweet red fruits that come with a peppery, herbal edge on the mid-palate and in the finish. 2021 Roger Sabon Le Secret des Sabon – One of the wines of the vintage opens with cinnamon, flowers, apples, kirsch and spice in the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is creamy, soft, and filled with sweet, ripe, round, cherries, black raspberries, and strawberry nuances. Vibrant, elegant, and open, the creamy textures, and freshness is a perfect fit for all of its red fruit. 2021 Saint Laurent Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Forward, soft, light, fresh, medium-bodied, early-drinking, elegant charmer with a nice, kirsch note from start to finish. The wine was made from a blend of mostly Grenache with some Syrah. Drink from 2024-2028. 88 Pts

2021 Saint Siffrein Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Minty, earthy, red fruits and garrigue fill the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, round, sweet, mildly spicy and fruity on the palate with an elegant wave of sweet, ripe, red fruits in the finish. 2021 Senechaux Chateauneuf-du-Pape – Fresh, elegant, supple, creamy, refined, and focused on all of its purity found in its sweet, kirsch, raspberry, and strawberry core of fruits, the wine is medium-bodied, vibrant, and already a pleasure in your glass. 2021 Simian Le Traversier – Spice, smoke, fennel, olives, and kirsch are all over the place. Medium-bodied, forward, soft, subtle, and salty, with loads of dark, cherries, and peppery spice in the endnote, you can enjoy this with pleasure on release. 2021 Sixtine Tradition – Spicy red fruits with accents of herbs, and orange peel resonate in the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, salty, vibrant, round, and fruity with a polished supple, creamy finish. The wine is a blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 25% Mourvedre. 2021 Solitude – Flowers, and cherry notes with a hint of fennel bulb define the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, fresh, refined, and on the strawberry side of the style range. The red berry finish is accompanied by peppery spices, and herbs on the backend. This will drink great on release. The wine blends 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mouverdre, 5% Cinsault, and 5% Counoise. Drink from 2024 – 2029. 91 Pts

2021 Solitude (Lan̤on Pere et Fils) Cornelia Constanza РCinnamon, incense, flowers, black raspberries, kirsch, and red plum aromas are what you initially notice. The wine is sweet vibrant, elegant, round, and creamy with lift, and layers of sweet, ripe, red fruits on the backend. The wine is produced from 100% old vine Grenache from vines that are more than 100 years of age. The production is small with an average of 3,000 bottle per vintage. Drink from 2024-2032. 93 Pts

2021 Solitude (Lan̤on Pere et Fils) Cuvee Barberini РStrawberry, smoke, pepper, and herbs open the aromatics. The palate is medium-bodied, soft, forward, and fresh with an elegantly-styled, mid-palate, and finish loaded with sweet, ripe, soft-textured kirsch. Made from a blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and 15% Syrah. Drink from 2024 Р2031. 91 Pts

2021 Solitude (Lançon Pere et Fils) Vin de la Solitude – Spicy, smoky, and leafy, with peppery red fruits in the nose, the wine is soft, elegant, fruity, fresh, and easy-to-like. There is vibrancy to the red fruits, lift, and sweetness, with a lush, mildly creamy texture on the mid-palate that carries through to the finish. Not much wine is made. And, the wine is only produced in specific vintages. It’s not easy to find, as the production is limited to less than 1,000 bottles and 100 magnums. The wine is made from a blend used at the estate in the 18th century, 25% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 22% Counoise, 20% Mourvedre, 7% Cinsault, 3% Clairette, 2% Bourboulenc, and the remainder coming from Clairette Rose, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc. 2021 Tour-Saint-Michel Cuvee des Deux Soeurs – Kirsch, black raspberry, and floral notes emerge with little effort. On the palate, the wine is plush, and polished with silky tannins and freshness that is easy to find in its red, berry fruit-filled endnotes, along with a hint of cocoa that comes in at the closing of the finish. The wine blends 90% Grenache with 10% Syrah. Drink from 2024-2031. 91 Pts

2021 Vaudieu Amiral G – Strawberries, flowers, bouquet garni and kirsch open the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is soft, polished, fresh and fruity with a slight, citrus accent to the sweetness in the strawberries, and red cherries that center the elegantly-textured wine from start to finish. The wine is made from 100% old vine, Grenache planted in sandy soils not too far from Chateau Rayas. Drink from 2024-2033. 94 Pts

2021 Vaudieu LAvenue – On the nose, it is the array of flowers in its bouquet that catches your attention. From there you find a medium-bodied, silky, fresh, elegant, cherry filled wine with kirsch, strawberry, and peppery spice that livens up the finish in the backend. The wine is produced from 100% old vine Grenache vines located not far from Chateau Rayas. Drink from 2024 – 2033 93 Pts

2021 Vaudieu Val de Dieu – Quite floral in nature, the wine is spicy, and fresh, with layers of ripe, dark cherries, kirsch, and black raspberries with an herbal, and olive note on the backend of the finish. The wine was made blending about 65% Grenache, and 25% Syrah with 5% Mourvedre. Drink from 2024-2034. 94 Pts

2021 Vieille Julienne Les Hauts Lieux – Flowers, licorice, smoked cherries, spice, black raspberries, kirsch, and olives fill the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, vibrant, supple, elegant, and mot-importantly, energetic. The fruits are ripe, sweet ,and pure, with a spicy, white pepper edge on the backend of the finish. The wine was produced from a blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre with just a bit of Cinsault, and Counouise to wrap up the blend. Drink from 2024 – 2034. 94 Pts

2021 Vieille Julienne Les Trois Sources – Flowers, red cherries, blue fruit, licorice, and black raspberries open the perfume. On the palate, the wine is soft, lush, rich, ripe, and packed with lusciously-textured, black cherries with just a hint of blueberries, and a spicy, peppery note that shows in the vibrant, backend. The wine was made from 60% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Cinsault ,and a myriad of various other allowable varieties. Drink from 2024-2032. 94 Pts

2021 Vieille Julienne Reserve – One of the darkest hues of the vintage, the wine is close to opaque in color. The perfume opens with flowers, black raspberries, licorice, kirsch, cherries and bouquet garni. As good as the nose is, here, it is the palate that owns the experience with its layers of elegant, seductive, pure silky, fresh, sweet, fruits. The finish is long, vibrant, and spicy, with a white pepper accent in the finish that adds more brightness and finesse, along with touches of licorice, and dark chocolate that show up at the backend of the finish. The wine is made from 90% Grenache, 5% Syrah, and 5% Counoise. If this seems like your thing, grab a few bottles as the production is only 1,500 cases give or take. Drink from 2025-2040. 96 Pts
