2020 Bertineau St.-Vincent – Lalande de Pomerol – Dusty chocolate, flowers, plums, cherries, and plum spice with a touch of spice comes through easily on the nose. On the palate, the wine offers velvety-textured, black, and red plums, dark chocolate, and licorice. This is going to be fun to enjoy in its youth, but it will age nicely. 2020 Canon Chaigneau – Lalande de Pomerol – Black plums, cherries topped with chocolate, and licorice in the nose. You find more of that on the medium-bodied, round, fruit-packed, lush, fruity, chocolate, and espresso-filled palate with a cool note of spearmint that comes in at the end of the finish. 2020 Canon Chaigneau Cuve Sa Beton – Lalande de Pomerol – Flowers, cherries, and a background note of cocoa open the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, fresh, and plummy with freshness, sweetness, and a mild dash of chocolate in the soft, vibrant finish. This is unique as it is aged entirely without oak. 2020 Chambrun – Lalande de Pomerol – Dark chocolate, and even darker red, pit fruits with a strong floral backdrop show in the perfume. Soft, supple, and creamy, with sweet, fresh, elegant, earthy, black cherries in the mid-palate that hang through to the silky finish. Drink from 2023-2040. 91 Pts

2020 Hauts-Conseillants – Lalande de Pomerol – White flowers, black cherries, and licorice form the nose, while the palate is created by its polished, silky, fresh, plummy fruits, and that come through from start to finish. 2020 Jean de Gue – Lalande de Pomerol – Much better in the bottle than in the barrel, the wine has developed well adding touches of flowers, licorice, cherries, plums, vanilla, and cocoa to the nose. 2020 L’ETOILE – Lalande de Pomerol – Cherries, plums, chocolate, flowers and wet earth nuances fill the perfume. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, fresh, forward, soft, and loaded with all the chocolate-coated plums with a touch of licorice that you could ask for. This is already tasting great. 2020 La Croix Bellevue – Lalande de Pomerol – Still a bit oaky on the nose, on the medium-bodied palate, the wine is sweet, round, fresh, and loaded with ripe, cherries, plums, black raspberries, and a touch of strawberry. Drink from 2023-2030. 88 Pts

2020 La Fleur de Bouard – Lalande de Pomerol – Smoked, cherries, black, red, and blue fruits are out in front with no effort. There is richness, supple textures, and layers of creamy-textured, ripe, sweet plums in the mid-palate, and in the finish. This is in contention for the best vintage I have tasted from this estate. 2020 La Fleur de Bouard Le Lion – Lalande de Pomerol – Smoke, licorice, espresso, and black plum notes come through with ease in the nose. Medium-bodied, creamy, and fresh, with a supple, polished, cherry-filled finish that is already quite nice. Especially since this is only a second wine. Drink from 2023-2032. 89 Pts

2020 La Fleur de Bouard Le Plus – Lalande de Pomerol – Deeply colored, the wine packs a punch with all of its fruit, and all of its toasty oak, which is clearly present in the nose, and on the palate. The fruit is there. The tannins are ripe, soft, and polished, but this is going to need time to come together before its oak becomes fully integrated. Drink from 2026-2042. 93 Pts

On the palate, the wine is vibrant, silky, and fresh, and most importantly, there is a beautiful sense of purity to the red pit fruits in the elegant, supple, chocolatey finish.
