Grand Puy Lacoste deserves an award for being the most consistent producer in Pauillac over the past few decades. Grand Puy Lacoste has not only produced a stunning array of great vintages since 1990, but prices remain fair for their high level of quality. That is really saying something today!
2015 is an outstanding vintage for Pessac Leognan and Graves. But there were times during the growing season when it did not look all that promising.
This could be the best vintage for the Margaux ever! At their best the wines display a beautiful sense of purity of fruit, freshness, concentration, silky tannins and length. They are exciting wines to taste!
2015 St. Julien wines are stylish and consistent. While many estates in Saint Julien produced good wine in 2015, as you will see, two estates made much better wine than their neighbors.
St. Estephe ruled the roost in 2014 when they produced best wines in Bordeaux. However, that is not what took place in 2015, which turned out to be a difficult vintage in the northern part of the Medoc.
2015 Pauillac produced some very strong wines with great style. But the vintage was not great for all producers and while stylish, is it as good as 2009 or 2010? What about 2014? It depends on who you ask, and which wine you’re asking about.
