The medium-bodied wine has a strong sense of minerality you can taste and feel on the mid-palate and in the long, perfectly-ripe, fruit-filled finish. The fruits taste as if they were blended with crushed stones, giving you lift, complexity and vibrancy in the elegant finish. The wine blends 50% Cabernet Franc with 50% Merlot. Roses, lilacs, violets, red plums, cherries, and black raspberries are clearly in the nose and on the palate. Medium-bodied, soft, silky, forward, clean, and pure, this is a refined style of wine, finishing with sweet red pit fruits that linger on the backend. The wine blends 62% Cabernet Franc with 38% Merlot. As you can see from the blend, it is all that gorgeous ripe, Cab Franc that makes it work with the 2021 vintage. Black cherries, cocoa, flowers, crushed rocks, black plums, and cocoa create the nose. On the palate, the wine is silky, lush, polished, fresh, and vibrant. The sense of minerality is strong. The finish reminds you of squeezing grapes over rocks and stones, giving you a chalky sensation that only adds to the sweet, ripe, red fruits. The wine lingers in the finish with its oceanic edge. This is setting a new mark for quality here. While you can enjoy this young, it is also able to age quite well. The wine is produced from 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Merlot.
