Roses and violets, along with chocolate-covered plums are what you initially notice. But it gets better once you taste all of the sweet, silky, black cherries, plums, espresso, mint, and chocolate. Lush, silky, and most importantly, elegant, and fresh, this little known gem still sells for a song. But, not for long. The estate was recently purchased by Ronan Laborde of Chateau Clinet, so you can expect the quality to rise, as well as the price. The wine blends 75% Merlot with 25% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% ABV, 3.70 pH. Drink from 2025-2042. 92-94 Pts.

Flowers, plums, spice, and a background note of cocoa opens the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, fresh, vibrant and crisp with strawberries and red cherries in the lifted, minty, drying finish. You might not be familiar with Lecuyer, but you will. The vineyard was recently purchased by Ronan Laborde of Chateau Clinet, who is making all the right moves to turn this into a gem. You heard it here first, this is a wine to watch out for. Drink from 2024-2034.

Cocoa and plums on the nose continue onto the palate in this forward, medium-bodied, soft, polished wine. It will be quite charming to drink on the young side. Drink from 2023-2033. 88-90

Medium-bodied, silky, fresh, forward and polished, the smooth-textured wine shows its sweet, ripe plums and cherries with their cocoa, spice and wet earth infused accents with ease on the nose and palate. This is one of the better values in the increasingly expensive, Pomerol appellation. 90-92 Pts

Lush, round and loaded with dark chocolate covered black plums and cherries, There is nice weight on the palate with a juicy fruit and cocoa filled, earthy finish. You can enjoy this with just a year or two in the cellar, or age it longer for more complexity. This is one of the better values in the increasingly expensive, Pomerol appellation.
