2020 Château Monlot  (St. Émilion Grand Cru) 92

Licorice, flowers, espresso, smoke, mint and plums create the nose. On the palate the wine is soft, silky and vibrant, with layers of sweet, ripe, juicy plums, crushed stone and spice. This is a property that has been on the upswing over the past few vintages. I am sure they will keep up the good work. 91-93 Pts

2018 Château Monlot  (St. Émilion Grand Cru) 92

Dark cherries and licorice permeate the wines aromatics. On the palate, here you find silky textured, sweet, lush, ripe red fruits with freshness, energy and soft, polished tannins. Give it a few years in the cellar and it will be even better. 92 Points

Deep in color, the wine pops with licorice, flowers, espresso and black raspberries. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, soft, silky and polished. 2016 Château Monlot  (St. Émilion Grand Cru) 92

With good color the wine is soft, polished, fresh and lively. The fruit has sweetness, energy and a nice sense of purity. Round, elegant, fleshy and already easy to drink, this is quite nice. Chateau Monlot made its debut in 2012. The wine was made from a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. 92 Points
