2016 has been a roller coaster year for life, and with wine. As far as wine goes, The 2016 Top Ten Wines of the Year in many wines is by year of drinking so far. Much of that has to do with my methodology of creating the list of my 2016 Top Ten Best Wines
2014 Chateauneuf du Pape is a delicious, forward, fresh, early drinking vintage with good character and charm. Enjoy these wines while waiting for the more powerful, rich 2015 wines to come around.
Leoville Poyferre has been on a roll since Didier Cuvelier took over in 1979. Think about it. 1982, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015 have all been great wines!

2015 Bordeaux will become famous for the numerous, stunning, opulent Pomerol and St. Emilion wines produced. Several great wines were also produced in the Left Bank, but 2015 will become famous for the Merlot and Cabernet Franc wines from the clay and limestone terroirs.
