2019 Xavier Vignon Cuvée Anonyme  (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) 94

Deep, dark, young and intense, the wine offers a boatload of ripe, deep, red fruits along with a youthful, oaky profile. Full, deep, ripe, dark and rich, this hedonistic wine is going to take a few years to fully integrate and to begin producing secondary notes. Clearly the wine is young, and impressive, but patience will be required. Drink from 2025 - 2035 94 Points

2016 Xavier Vignon Cuvée Anonyme  (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) 94

Deeply colored, the wine is equally deep. Lush, round, full-bodied, and rich, on the nose you find smoke, espresso, black plums, black cherries, pepper, flowers, and grilled meat notes. Plushly textured, the palate presence and finish are all about the wine's richness, velvety textures, and dark, red, spicy fruits. Give this at least a few more years in the cellar so all of its components can fully integrate. The wine is produced from a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and various other allowable grape varieties. 94 Points
