St茅phane Ogier Le Champon (C么te-R么tie)
Fresh, cool, refreshing mint notes burst through with a single swirl before revealing blue fruits, dark cherries, smoke, and spice. The palate is vibrant, rich, and fresh, as well as elegant, balanced, and fruity with a hint of citrus on the long finish. From vines planted at higher elevations of the Cote Brune on a rock and schist terroir, the grapes are mostly whole bunch fermented, with nearly 20% of the fruit being destemmed. The wine is aged in neutral oak for about 24 months before bottling. Drink from 2026-2045. 351 Views Tasted Oct 24, 2025 |
When to Drink Michel & Stephane Ogier, Anticipated Maturity, Decanting Time
Michel & Stephane Ogier, when young, should be decanted at least 1-3 hours, give or take, allowing the wines to soften and open their perfume. Older vintages might need very little decanting, just enough to remove the sediment.
Michel & Stephane Ogier is often better with 5-7 years of cellaring and should be at its best between 10-25 years of age.
