2008 Château Palmer Margaux Wine Tasting Note

2008 Château Palmer  (Margaux) 96

Obviously, it\'s been far too long since I last tasted this gem. The wine is rich, full, sensuous, floral and sexy. The fruit is fresh, sweet, and pure. The tannins are silky and while it is not fully developed if you like your Bordeaux as it\'s just starting to add nuances, but it\'s still on the fruit side, with 1-2 hours of air, this really hits the spot!

Deep ruby in color, espresso bean, caramel, earth, smoke. Boysenberry, floral and black cherry aromas lead to a full bodied, rich, round, plush Margaux. In the mouth, the wine offers freshness and purity of flavor. The plush, concentrated, supple style of Palmer finishes with dark chocolate covered black cherry.

2008 Palmer begins with a perfume filled with blackberry liqueur, vanilla, spice oak, floral and truffle scents. Rich concentrated and filled with layers of ripe, opulent fruit, this elixir ends with an intense, refined, sensuous finish. This is a serious wine and for Palmer, it remains well priced. 96 Pts

The wine is nicely concentrated with a serious depth of flavors. The tannins are long and silky. Opulent waves of dense boysenberry and blackberry endlessly caress your palate.
