Elegance meshed with power and layers of perfectly ripe, lush fruits is what you find here. Everything is in balance. The dark fruits are opulent in nature, as well as fresh. The nose, with its smoke, black cherry, licorice, espresso and herbs is as inviting as it is complex. All of this is topped with the lushness found in the finish. My instincts suggest there is more hidden in those vines and that within a few years, the Macdonald family will produce wines that compete with the best Cabernet Sauvignon produced in the valley.
