The nose offers its blend of espresso, licorice, spice and red fruits easily. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, high-toned and fresh, with a strong citrus note that cuts through the peppery herbs on the backend. Smoke, cocoa, flowers and red fruits create the aromatic profile here. On the palate, the wine is soft, silky and fresh with loads of sweet, supple-textured, vibrant, ripe, red fruits. As I mentioned in my barrel tasting notes, this is a big step up from previous vintages. It is really nice to see. Château La Rose Perrière (Lussac-St. Émilion)
Much better from the bottle than it was during its barrel tasting, the perfume, with its light cocoa, flowers, cherries and plums is a treat. On the palate, the medium-bodied, soft, fresh, silky wine is a treat thanks to all the sweet, ripe, fresh red fruits and the cool touch of spice and cocoa in the finish. Give it a year or two in the cellar and it will be even better. Drink from 2023-2034. 1,424 Views Tasted Mar 29, 2022Medium-bodied, bright, fresh and peppery with sharp red fruits and spice on the mid-palate and in the finish. This will be best in its fruity youth. 86-88 Pts 2,906 Views Tasted Jun 8, 2020 |

Château La Rose Perrière (Lussac-St. Émilion)
Better on the nose than the palate with its licorice, black raspberry, herb and earthy character. Medium bodied, forward and soft, with a short, black cherry finish, this is a value, Bordeaux wine to drink young. 2,444 Views Tasted Jul 21, 2013 |
