1947 is a vintage I seldom see, and based on this bottle, I wish I had more friends with 47s! Smoke, burnt leaves, cigar box, sweet dark cherries, dried flowers, spices, and herbs filled the perfume. The palate showed its patina of age, coupled with minerals, crisp, dark cherries, and spice, with a long, warm, lush, silky finish. This is not a wine I'd hold for further development.
