Private Tours for Porto, Portugal and Bordeaux, France

Post by Paula Pyles » Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:15 am

Hoping this is a great place to ask my questions. In May, 2018, my husband and I will be on a cruise that spends a day in Porto, Portugal and then later in the cruise we have two days in Bordeaux, France. We would like to have a private tour in both locations.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a company that offers private tours in either location? We will be in Bordeaux on Sunday, May 27th and Monday, May 28th so I understand that the Sunday outing will be challenging due to limited openings but we are hopeful! In Porto, Portugal on May 23, 2018. We do not want to rent a car - instead we want to work with a guide that can provide transportation along with expert direction of the wineries and the areas.

Look forward to any and all ideas!

Thank you in advance,

Paula

Hi Paula

I see we have success!

First, you should read this article. https://www.thewinecellarinsider.com/wi ... -tastings/

You can read about the chateau as well as where to stay and eat, etc...

Next, you will need to know where you want to go in Bordeaux, Right Bank, Left Bank, etc.

A few places are open Sunday, you will find many of them listed in the article.

For a personal tourguide, Diana Verneau. She should be able to do everything for you, drive, make the appointments, etc...

You can easily reach her through Facebook https://www.facebook.com/secretsdechateaux/

Tell here I sent you!

For a driver I like BTA - http://www.bta-transports.fr/contact/

Call or Email and ask for Pierre, tell him I sent you.

If they are not what you are looking for, post and let me know.
