2008 Chateau La Fleur-Petrus Pomerol

Here`s a fabulous wine that was shared at our dinner table at the Olde Port Inn [Avila Beach] for the birthday celebration for Archie McLaren, the founder of the Central Coast Wine Classic:

2008 CHATEAU LA FLEUR-PETRUS POMEROL- 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc; this was so good with a phenomenal taste profile and silky texture to support the abundance of flavours disseminated throughout the journey from the front to the back end; it had liquorice, earth and leather accents for the black cherry, blackberry fruit with a touch of black currant coming in late; it was full bodied and yet it had such finesse and charm; it`s drinking so beautifully now and has the structure to go for the long run; loved it.
