Boxing vs. Bottling Costs

Hi All,

While it is fairly well known at this point that boxed wine is an environmentally sound alternative to bottling, I also have heard that the process is cheaper. Does anyone have experience in wine packaging who can speak to the difference in costs? I'm wondering just how much cheaper boxing is. Thank you!

Sorry Emma, I have no idea. It would depend on the box, bottle, cork, etc... Boxed wine is not really something I follow.

I have sometimes found that a boxed wine is good for cooking wine. Esp. with a white wine. Wines lasts fairly well in the frig.
