Have you pictures of Rayas 1978 to check if mine are fakes ?

Have you pictures of 1978 Rayas to check if mine are fakes ? I have bought 4 bt 1978 Rayas. On a forum, someone said that he has a fake 1978 Rayas, declared fake by Emmanuel Reynaud. My bottles have the same "0.75" printed on the label which does not exist on other bottles. I have difficulties to im...

As I said above, it is propable that you had not the feeling for DRC. I have a strong feeling for DRC wines, and I am happy with their complexity. Concerning my preferences, I make wine dinners in which people vote for their best wines. Referring to my votes for 143 dinners, I compared the votes for...

Are they Colheita or Solera ?
if it is Solera, the number of molecules of 1795 is very small.

It is so personal ! He should buy the Michelin Guide and then go on web sites where comments are given. If I give my preferred places, it will be personal as another person would think completely differently. Some names : Guy Savoy, Bristol, Gagnaire, Carré des Feuillants, Ledoyen, Astrance, Laurent...

Great to see you here.
You know, I go very often at "Percée du Vin Jaune", and I buy many old Chateau Chalon.
We should meet again.

Hamisch,
1899 is a very great year.
Nobody can say surely that your bottle will be good, as all depends of the bottle.
I have drunk original bottlings of Pontet-Canet 1899 which were great, and a d'Issan reconditioned which was awful.
I wish you a great tasting of a very great year.

Bernard, Thank you for the answer. I will not participate at the official tastings. I will quickly visit Bordeaux. I have appreciated the XIXth century. It is a nice idea. I have drunk many wines which were "hermitaged" and some of them are nice. They belong to history, so the judgement about genuin...

For long I had considered that 1959 was better than 1961 Palmer, and one day, we had the chance to have together the 1959 and 1961. And the 1961 was the clear winner. But very recently I had 1959 Palmer alone, and I found it marvellous. My best Palmer are 1947 followed by 1928. Then 1961. But at thi...

As we enlarge the discussion, for me, the best decade for champagne, by far, is the 60ies.
But I agree that 88 is extremely enjoyable now.

Aging of Guigal

Aging of Guigal Yesterday I had a dinner with my son, and I opened two halves of 1926 Léoville Barton. They were a little tired, so in the middle of the meal, I wanted to drink something more lively. And I took in the cellar which is rather cold a la Landonne Guigal 1984. Even if warming the glass ...

Two difficult to answer, as to compare Mouton 45 and Yquem 1921 or Krug 1928 has no real sense.

So, this is purely a question of taste.

As Rousseau, Voguë and Leroy make great wines, you have many great wines to drink.
Try Charlopin. He makes a nice Chambertin, a little "rustic" but nice.
