Re: Introduction

No Lili :D Lots of my friends love Pinot Noir. Although, I think I am more of Bordeaux and Rhone Valley guy. So, what does that say about me?

Wow! Holy molely!!!!!! What a great wine day. I agree 100% with everything comment you made. Did you have a faveorite wine out of all those bottles? Without having tasted them, for me, I love those La La's. 1988 Guigal La Turque is a stunner!!!! Had 1988 La Mouline last week and it rocked my world!

Thanks Michael. We now have the most recent version of the software uploaded. Everything should be faster, and easier to use, as well as more intuitive, especially on mobile devices.

Re: Boxing vs. Bottling Costs

Sorry Emma, I have no idea. It would depend on the box, bottle, cork, etc... Boxed wine is not really something I follow.

Re: 97` Chave Hermitage

I hope you're loving your trip to France! if I remember correctly, I liked the view, more than the food at Tour d'Argent. I am a big fan of 97 Chave Hermitage. I still have several bottles and agree, they are showing well.

Are you going anyplace outside of Paris?

Re: Champagne bottle thickness

Hi David

That would be my guess as well. Larger cork, larger surface area and more wine, should give you more pressure.

Re: Bad bottle of wine

Hi Cindy Thanks for asking the question. It is going to depend on the age of the wine. The small white bits at the bottom of the bottle are tartrates, which is something that happens naturally in Sauternes as they age. Dry corks are possibly a bigger problem, if the wine is young. That means almost...

Re: visiting a Chateaux around Bordeaux

Hi Nadya... Thank you for the post. And more importantly, Happy Anniversary! Why not go to Chateau Troplong Mondot in St. Emilion and dine at Belles Predrix, which is located on their property in the vineyard? They make great wine and the restaurant as well as the estate is stunningly beautiful! Wit...

Re: 03 Montrose and Cos

Hi John Thanks for the note and the post. Both 2003 Bordeaux wines showed great! Those wines will be there in 30 years. You can see a note from July of this year on the 2003 Cos d'Estournel http://www.thewinecellarinsider.com/bordeaux-wine-producer-profiles/bordeaux/st-estephe/cos-destournel/ and on...

Hi Blake... I am not the biggest fan of most 70's Bordeaux. 1978 Bordeaux for me is past its best days on all the top wines. Glad you had a good bottle.

Yea, now you are talking my language. I agree 100% on 1983 Margaux. Although, as the wine and I age, I might now think 1982 Margaux is as good. It really is on a bottle to bottle basis. I love 2001 Yquem! Such a super wine.
