Angélus verticale, april 2007. For me a great Angélus 1989 (95/100). As Jeff says, you probably had a fake.

Do you mean Cadet-Piola ?

Too much alcoohol ... I had a lot of great fresh and brilliant 2008 burgundian pinots noirs (DRC, Arlot, Liger-Belair, Gouges, ...). The best in the world, for my taste (and the whites are tremendous too). At DRC, I preferred, from far, 2008 to 2009 (this is not the case in Beaujolais, to say it sho...

Martin,

After Leflaive Chevalier 2002, my spare bottle was the Roty Griotte 1998 :-)

I was really disappointed by the expensive german pinots noirs proposed during the auctions. A cruel lack of elegance and freshness.
Only Meyer-Näkel was acceptable.
What is your opinion about that ?

Martin,

Never forget the context in which you drink.
We had a great Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet 2002, an excellent Roty Griotte 1993.
I thanked David to allow me this first encounter with the G-Max.

Great, Martin, I had the G-Max 2006 with David Rayer two weeks ago in Paris (see the pics below). I would say : 92/100. It's worth it (92/100).

But cannot really compete with, for example, a Côte Brune Jamet 1991 or a Chambertin Rousseau 1991.

Christer,

Globally agree with you (that's what I concluded).

However, have you ever tried a Janin Clos du Tremblay 1991 ?

I had the Egon Müller Beerenauslese 1994 beside an almost perfect Yquem 2001 (2009 is great too).

Keller Westhofen Brunnenhäuschen Abts E TBA 2009 : 99/100 (last week)

Jeff, A wonderful vertiginous vineyard (and a gorgeous weather to enjoy it even more). The unique plasticity of Riesling. Some Prüm were proposed during a dinner at the domain or other wines drunk in restaurants. Some of the most confidential wines in the world. The Egon Müller TBA 1999 was sold 520...

German great wines (2011 auctions)

I was lucky enough to travel last week to Bernkastel, with my friend David Rayer : I met great wines, such as : Egon Müller Riesling Scharzhofberger TBA 1999 Egon Müller Riesling Scharzhofberger auslese lange GK 2010 Le Gallais Wiltinger Braune Kupp auslese GK 2010 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst ...
