Hermitage La Chapelle 1961 and Cheval Blanc 1947 in restaurant Michel Rostang

A friend of mine sent me an email proposing that I attend a dinner of 6 including me. When I received it I looked at the program and I nearly fainted. It was impossible that I miss it, so I said yes and I proposed to add a wine. Frederic the co-organizer of the dinner arrived in restaurant Michel R...

Christer,
You are right, I should, but time flies so quickly !
I cannot stop all these events just to write.
But I should do it.

I have not seen prephylloxeric Bordeaux.
I would have taken one !
They have a nice choice, but the best years have been already drunk.

My visit to Bern's Steak House in Tampa with wines with an average of 99 years of age

For many years I had the dream to go to this place which had a cellar of over one million bottles, and has now more than half a million bottles. As my son lives now in Miami, I had no excuse not to go. I went with my son. Brad Dixon, the sommelier spent a very long time with us to choose our wines....

A friend of mine, not a close friend, but a friend, sent me an email and said : "we would be happy if you would join our table of six. Everyone pays his menu". It will be on Monday 13th February. And he sent the list : - Dom Perignon 1985 - Dom Perignon 1962 - Montrachet 1996, Jacques Prieur - Rayas...

A Baby Jesus 1891 made me die with pleasure !

I was invited at a dinner in Chateau de Beaune, the property of Maison Bouchard Père & Fils, owned by Joseph Henriot who received us with his charming wife Dominique. We had the aperitif on a Champagne Henriot cuvée des Enchanteleurs 1995 which is comfortable and of a great charm. Then Corton-Charl...

Lafleur 1947 corresponded to its legend. It is a wine which is perfect. It means that when you have it in mouth, everything seems logic, natural, completely structured for greatness. It is an immense wine, a "wow" wine, but not a "super wow" wine. Pétrus 1947 was not in a position to compete. Choco...

The auction took place. I was in the room. I have competed against some phones which stopped rather quickly. Then the competition was only between a man and me. He was behind me and I could not see him. But I remarked that his bids were extremely quick after my bids. I hesitated, and he never hesita...

The 1915 was in perfect condition. It was a really great wine. This mystery wine was a unique experience. I am really happy to have been invited to participate. Regional newspapers have reported about this event, and I was interviewed. This created some questions from other journalists, curious abou...

Concerning the dinner of November mentioned above, Moët will be extremely generous :
Moët magnum 1959
Dom Pérignon magnum 1966
Moët 1928 disgorged in front of us
Moët 1911.

The table is formed. I hope to have time to report on this event for which Jeff allowed me to talk.
