Mustafa, I had the Labels not long ago with a 4+ hour decant and your notes are wonderfully accurate. Love this wine and all the layers and (amazing) elegance it has to offer with so much going on for a youngster. It never ceases to amaze me what Manfred does with these wines. One of my fav decripto...

Lennie, I enjoy half bottles for most of the same reasons you mentioned or if I want one wine and my husband wants something different. Since we often purchase from a distributor or winery direct, it has become more difficult to find really enjoyable wines in half bottles, they both tell me the size...

Jeff, glad to hear the SQN showed so well in it's infancy. Not a big surprise as these wines are very well balanced and the youngsters I've had do not show the alcohol but damn maybe your friend was at the UPS depot before the wine made the truck, talk about baby killer ! Did you decant it at all ? ...

Nice notes Jeff. What a great lineup of wines. I've had a couple older d'Yquem, don't recall if I had the '75 but loved the ones I did have.

I've not tried current releases of Araujo. One of my favorite vintages of theirs was the 2003. We had a 1997 not long ago and it was good but I wouldn't say great. I've always like their cabs but haven't ever tried a syrah.

Bob, I agree and also find many of those high alc/extracted wines do not age as gracefully as others do. Zhi, I can name a myriad of wines that we've seen people chase and then the interest fizzles out, there is always a new hot wine that people want to try when it has hype and a good score. How man...
