I have not been to Bazzar in quite a while. Our last visit was great! I could have ordered those foie gras cotton candy skewers all night long. I like the Muga wines, but my favorite from Rioja is Vina Real. Do you know the wine?
Not that I get to taste mature older Bordeaux wines all that often, as they are pricey bottles these days. 1975 Bordeaux has never really rocked me. The wines are so hard and tannic. I will look for the 1975 Pichon Lalande Howard suggested.
I am going to the the same St. Émilion Grands Crus Classés Tasting in Los Angeles Saturday at The Wine House. Because there are not so many chateau, it will be easier to meet the owners. At least I hope so.
