Château Muret (Haut-Médoc)
Tobacco, cedar, forest floor, and cassis notes pop in the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, energetic, medium-bodied, and forward, so you can enjoy its chewy, crisp, red fruits just about on release. I like the refreshing touch of mint that you find on the backend of the finish. This is one of the few Merlot dominated wines from the Medoc, with 60% Merlot, and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
