    Impressive wine this is. It needs 3 to 4 hours of air at this point before you really can understand what it's all about. Very full bodied and lots of fruit weight. The blackberry fruit is sweet and the tannins are prominent but it's pure silk. I like the balance on this wine.....very close to just right. Certainly this wine is a steal at the current price it can be had for. I would call this more modern in style but it's still Bordeaux. Easily a 94 pointer and it could get better if you lay it down for a long sleep.

    Thanks for the note on the 2009 Laforge. I like the wine as well. Perhaps, not quite as mucvh as you did, but it's a good St. Emilion. Laforge is the best deal out of the entire stable of wines from Jonathan Maltus.
