Default TN 2009 Domaine de la Janasse Cuvee Chaupin CDP

Wow, just wow!! What an incredible wine. I don't even know where to begin? Okay, it is very young, but so darn enjoyable. Soaring nose of blackberry jam, spice, pepper, roasted meat, leather, and just a touch of pencil. The palate is off the charts. It is amazing how this wine masks the alcohol level. A huge dollop of grenache driven blackberry jam, quince, black cherry cola, tar, black pepper, spice, leather, and pencil on the finish. Even at this young age, the wine coats the mouth completely and then peels away with layer after layer of complexity. The tannins are like velvet and the wine constantly evolves. You would be well advised to bury this deep in your cellar, because it is absolutely irresistable. On bended knee! 98 Pts

I love this wine! It's one of my favorite Chateauneuf du Papes. I agree with your notes on 2009 Janasse Chaupin 100%. Due to the use of oak in the Janasse Villie Vignes, I often prefer the Chaupin.
