    Default RECIPE "Asparagus"

Keep it simple! Now is asparagus season in Germany, here is my favourite version. BTW, in contrast to green asparagus, the white one needs more time. A trick is to add 1tsp of sugar to the simmering water for cooking the asparagus.

Yes, some people cook the asparagus shorter for around 10-15min. Itīs up to you.

    Ingredients
    1kg asparagus
    100g parmesan
    olive oil
    1tbsp butter

    Hi Martin

Great minds think alike. I've been cooking a lot of Asparagus lately. But I seem to prefer to roast or grill them. Do you always boil them? Or?

    Hi Jeff,

I think your asparagus is different to ours. We always boil or steam white asparagus. I had some good results to roast&grill green asparagus.
Anyway asparagus is delicious. I also like very much wild green asparagus from France by making an omelette.

    Take care,
    Martin
