Howard... I think you to compare 1990 Leoville Las Cases with 2010 Leoville Las Cases and not Cos d'Estournel. I think 1990 Las Cases is a better wine than 2010 Las Cases. But I'd rather have 2009 Cos d'Estournel than 1990 Cos d'Estournel. 09 Cos is better than 2010 IMO as well 86 Pichon Lalande is not my favorite Bordeaux wine. It's a hard, austere styled wine. I would not buy it for $50...

    Hi Jeff,

Just noticed today that Premier Cru has the Beausejor Duffau for over a $100 less than anyone else in the US.. You can even pick up a magnum for the price of a 750 elsewhere. I've not purchased from Premier Cru before, so I'm hesitant.. as they say, if it sounds too good to be true....

    Hi Ryan

It's good to see you posting again. I like Premier Cru. I buy a lot of my Bordeaux wine from them. I have received 100% of every bottle I have ever ordered. They offer great prices from time to time. I bought some 2010 Beausejour Duffau at that price as well. One thing to keep in mind with Premier Cru, they can be very slow to deliver. You will need to be patient. You will get your wine. But if you cannot wait longer than you should, they are not a good merchant for you to buy from.

FWIW, 2010 Beausejour Duffau is one of the stars of the vintage and should be a legendary wine in the years to come.

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the quick reply! I've heard similar stories regarding delivery time.. these will be in the cellar for quite a while so I'm quite happy to delay their arrival. I just pulled the trigger on a few bottles + a magnum.

I appreciate all the advice you post on your site as well as these forums. Your call to go long 09 early and wait on 10 has been quite prescient.
