It is a good champagne, but only a good champagne.
I have not had a real emotion.
I am not a great rosé fan but 1990 Dom Pérignon in magnum knocked me.
Have you had emotions with rosé Bollinger ?

Have you had a better experience with the 1990 Bollinger Grande Annee Brut?

Never really a fan of Bollinger's Grande Annee Rose until recently. Starting in 96, the wine seemed to get a bit more fruity and really started rocking in 99. The 02 is spectacular in my book and the best Rose to date I have had from Bollinger. 6 or so months ago, I asked Bollinger cellarmaster Matthieu Kauffmann about the 02 and what changes they made over the last 15 years and he replied that no real changes were made, they just have been doing a better job. He also agreed that the 02 Grande Annee was spectacular and probably their best Rose effort to date.

Thank you Brad.
I drank the 2002 rosé, and I had a similar impression to yours.
Mark,
The 90 Bollinger grande année is a great wine, and I loved it.

Not so fan of Bollinger GA rosé 2002 (too young ?). I liked the GA rosé 1995.
Fan of Dom Ruinart rosé and even more Dom Pérignon rosé. (Not to speak of Elizabeth Salmon, the "mere" Billecart-Salmon rosé may be a good bargain after cellaring).
I look forward to soon tasting (with Richard Geoffroy in Toulouse) Dom Pérignon rosé 2000 and Dom Pérignon rosé oenothèque 1990. And further Dom Pérignon rosé 1993 and 1998 (the Dom Pérignon rosé 1992 was an unforgettable miracle).

Only two Champagne Rosé's has ever blown me away, 96 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé and 1997 Laurent Perriere Grand Siecle Cuvée Alexandra, and they were both superb. Even Krug is.... well I have no problem drinking it, but prefer the..... well, what to call it, regular!?..... vintage

Laurent,
The latest release of the 75 Oenotheque is stunning - I completely agree. The 90 DP Rose Oneo is a wild animal. I think it divides people. I really like it, but others find it very different from the original release and I understand this too. Nice tasting you had!

Brad,
Our rosé oenothèque 1990 turned out to be gorgeous ... A superb evocation of Chambolle (20% of pinot noir), plenty, graceful ... Magic !
