Hello to all...

This is a great initiative, Jeff.

Since we're a bit 'outside the box' in the bastion of tradition which is Bdx, we don't defend any one chateau (our clients make their own high quality wine with our support) and we're one of the few players in Bordeaux that operate on both banks (our parcels are in Pauillac, Margaux, Haut-Medoc next to Sociando, Saint Emilion, Cotes de Castillon, Canon Fronsac), perhaps I'll come up with an interesting insight or comment from time-to-time. Not that anyone will listen!

I look forward to keeping an eye future posts...

This is a great initiative. MAYBE THE NEXT STEP will be to create a warehouse in Paris around Clichy or St Ouen purchsing fruit from Chablis . Loire, etc for Vin de Table a la Garagiste ?

Thanks, David. We thought of that back when we set up. The idea of being able to bring fruit from Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Loire and elsewhere is super appealing. It also models what we do in Napa, where we bring in a dozen varietals from 50 vineyards. But one also has to consider costs (trust me, St Ouen is costlier than Bordeaux or Nuit Saint Georges) and the desire of our client base to 'experience' winemaking in a wine region. Lastly, the French presume your guilty until proven innocent. So they'll never allow you to brand the wine as an AOC representative of the fruit and parcel UNLESS you vinify in that region. So, we won't exclude Paris. But it will require a bit more thought. Thanks for mentioning it!
