Has anyone found a good (not great) chablis for everyday drinking? I am thinking under $40, very available, drinking now wine for a weeknight seafood dinner.

Hello, I do not know where you live and the pricing, but for me a reliable and readily awailable producer would be La Chablisienne, but also Laroche and Tremblay normally have good not too expensive cuvee's, and these are also different styles, so at least one should be to your liking.

I have had the 2007 Drouhin, Chablis twice in the past month and found it to be quite characteristic and very well made. My price was $24.
One thing tho - do not over chill!

Chablis Dauvissat ... is a unique bargain, I think (recently, I loved the 2002, tasting like a premier cru !
(The Séchet 2002 turned out to be wonderful too - grand cru level)

Hi Michael,
I find the 2008 William Fevre Chablis Royaux quite good and it's around $25. Jean Marc Brocard's 2008 Montmains and Montee de Tonnerre also deliver Chablis goodness for less than $40.
Cheers,
Leah

Would probably say Oudin at the moment.Great expression of chardonnay fruit and all for 12 euros max, Raveneau and Dauvissat remain references..just remember to decant younger wines and never serve to chilled as you know. Moor is turning out some decent organic offerings too.:)
