This mind boggling wine was an epiphany! Not having tasted it before, I was blown away by the multiple layers of silky, polished, lush, velvety, ripe, fresh fruit. The perfume, with its licorice, smoke, oak, cherry, earth and mint captured your attention. The long, exotic finish made you go back for more. Splash decanted and poured, this kept improving in the glass. My only complaint was the level of oak found in the wine. Some tasters will have an issue with that. This stunning wine is one of the best expressions of Merlot I've ever tasted that did not come from Pomerol. As you can see by my note and score, I loved this wine.
