Truffle, earth, ocean brine, smoke and black cherry aromas, medium body and a soft, round, short, chocoalte covered cherry finish. From a blend of 45% Malbec, 35% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, I'd opt for drinking this forward wine on the early side.

From 100% Malbec, coffee, licorice, earth and black raspberry jam create the perfume. In the mouth, the is round, accessible and ends with a sweet, black cherry finish. There is probably no reason to age this wine any longer.

This is a ripe, jammy, highly extracted, bold, ABVic, peppery blockbuster wine. Some heat was noted in the finish. While well made, it's not my style of wine. Others will probably like it more. When I tasted it, I was sure it would receive a much higher score from fans of this exuberant style of wine. Produced from a small 13 hectares estate in the Mendoza region, the vineyard’s are planted with old vines from 1935. The varietals are 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Owned by Vignobles Garcin who also own several properties in Bordeaux, (Clos L’Eglise, Branon, Haut Bergey and Barde Haut), they use the same wine making practices in Mendoza as they employ in Bordeaux. Their consultant, Dr. Alain Raynaud is heavily involved with the wine.
