1. Tobacco, earth, spice, cassis, plums and forest aromatics started off the wine. Some tannins remain to be resolved in this traditionally made wine. The wine ends with a juicy mouthful of cassis, spice and blackberry. fruit.

2. Coffee, licorice, cedar, cassis, tar, and molasses fill your nose with pleasure. This full bodied wine has nice weight and density as well as good texture. But the black fruit filled finish falls short, especially for a First Growth in a strong vintage. This wine will continue drinking well for at least another decade.
