1964 Château Haut-Brion
-
With a perfume blending black cherries, cassis, spice, earth, cigar box, tar and truffle scents, this old school wine has some rough edges to the texture. While it shows slightly more depth than the 1964 Haut Brion, the wine is not going to improve. Drink up.

With its tar, spice, cassis, forest floor and tobacco notes, it was easy to see this wine was fully mature. 64 LMHB is slightly austere in character, although that did not stop its ample , smoky, leather and tar charms from coming through. The wine ended with cassis, earth and dark cherries.
