    Default 2008 Clinet

Seems like alot of controversy about 2008. Scores for Clinet range from 88 - 95 with advice to drink soon to needs lots of time. Whats your thought on this in terms of quality and drinking window? Thanks.

Steve... I like 2008 Clinet. I think it's a very nice Pomerol. I own it. I'd start drinking it on the young side at 2015 and enjoy it for at least another 15-20 years. There are tasting notes on my site yiu can read. I am going to be at Clinet later today. I'll see if I can retaste a bottle.

I had Clinet 2008 a few days ago, during the "primeurs" in Bordeaux.

I haven't tasted it, what kind of style is it?

As promised, I tasted a bottle of 2008 Clinet Pomerol at the property last week. It's a nice, well made Pomerol. It is not as good as the 2009, 2010 or 2011. But it's a lot less money and delivers a supple Pomerol tasting experience.
