Popping an '09 Fontaine Gagnard Batard Montrachet for a lunch this week. Their Chassagne La Romanee was amazing so I'm excited about this step up.
You guys are drinking some nice wines! Nothing for me sadly. I'm taking it easy for my last night at home. I'm on my to Bordeaux, via London and Paris Thursday. Friday is going to be a great dinner in London at Ledbury. I do not remember all the wines, but there is at least a flight of 1991 Guigal, La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque as well as 1955 Margaux and some other nice wines.
Have a great, safe trip Jeff! Look forward to your reports!
What a trip, Jeff! Travel safely.

Are you trying to give me a heart attack Christer? Incredible. Please don't forget to post your notes!
As I'll be in Bordeaux starting Monday, all I can say is, there's a lot of Bordeaux that will be put to good use for the next two weeks!
Bringing back a case of Rene Rostaing Cote Blonde 1998 from storage. Based on Jeff's tasting notes, it's going to be really interesting tasting it.
1990 DRC Échezeaux for lunch with a friend today. Sadly I think the wine has past its prime, the nose is still good (but not as great as 5 years back), the acidity has overtaken the fruits and tannin, it's time to drink up the remaining bottles. The sommelier mentioned that he had a bottle of 1990 DRC La Tache last week and had the similar experience, that is a real surprise to me.
