Last night was 2008 Aubert Lauren Chardonnay.
Tonight, I just grabbed a 1999 Chapoutier Mordoree Cote Rotie.

Well I had a Cain NV 9 at dinner last night and it was horrific! That said, I'll make up for it soon by pulling an '86 Talbot out of the cellar.
Recently, I have almost exclusively drunk new arrivals. Mid-life c thingie maybe. My random cellar walks have been uninspiring. Then, I was mostly up to 10 yrs on tastings thus '02s of late. Today was a Schubert '04 Block B fm NZ, yesterday a Swiss Riesling tomorrow a '02 Ch Musar by request of a visiting friend. Have a lafleur vertical lined up for tasting but current pricing makes me hesitate, no procrastinate. Mostly drink bubbly in between as I keep it handy and chilled at all times. Really look forward to the new year. I'm really looking forward to putting the rabbit year behind us!
Tonight will be 98 Meyney, this, together with 93 Poujeaux and 78 La Lagune is sort of the house wines these days as I'm finishing of my stock.

2003 Usseglio Mon Aieul is drinkning perfectly. That and 1990 Gruaud Larose, which tastes much older than it is should were popped last night. Lots of California Cabernet Sauvignon wines tonight with friends from Bordeaux.
I am still getting over the last little bits of my cold. So, I have not been openeing much lately. I tried getting back into form with 1989 La Fleur de Gay, a delicious, fully mature, 100% Merlot wine. Pure chocoalte covered black raspberries with truffle. Yum!
Sounds like a good wine to bring you back, I don't suppose there are any 89's or 90's left to consider buying?
Robert... There are still some good buys on 1989 and 1990 Bordeaux wine in the market place. OK, good compared to prices being asked for current wines. Today it's Portuguese Wine Oscars night. A big event, promoted by the most important Portuguese Wine Magazine.
So I'll be drinking loads of stuff. Mostly Portuguese Top Wines.
