Chateau Angelus iPad App brings the digital age to St. Emilion

8

Chateau Angelus in St. Emilion is known for their Bordeaux wine. That is how it should be as they’ve been producing wine for over 300 years! Now, they will also be known for being one of the first Bordeaux wine producers to provide an optimised version of its website for iPad.

With the Chateau Angelus iPad App bringing in the modern age to St. Emilion, perhaps we’ll see more Bordeaux wine producers embracing the Internet and other modern technology to reach users. I hope this trend continues.

  1. Martin… I remain a big fan of 98 Angeuls. I scored it 95pts and 96 Pts in the two times I wrote notes on the time. That was over 2 years ago, so the wine could score one point higher today.

But 89 and 90 are both better wines IMO. And 2000 is better than both those previous years and 2005 is the best vintage of Chateau Angelus I have ever tasted!

I know you are tring it with Jean Bernard shortly. Please let me know what you think of it. I find it to be a truly special wine that is in a special class.

  2. Hi Laurent,

as always you and your group are tough scorers when I see you points regarding ´98. 🙂

    Bonne chance,
    Martin

  3. Great, I am looking forward to meet Jean-Bernard Grenié on 11. november in Berlin and drinking Angélus 89, 95, 98, 01, 05.

Last time `98 was to die for………..here my impressions:

What a sexy beast! A breathtaking texture with flavors of prune, chocolate, spice-box and a touch of portwine. But in the background is a remarkable freshness which gives an outstanding BALANCE. Never-ending length. This wine is pure erotic………
    97-98pts.
